PAUL SCHNEIDER CERAMICS was founded in 2009 by its namesake. A Dallas native, Paul attended St. Mark's School of Texas, where he began studying ceramics. He received early national recognition before moving to Memphis, where he studied and played baseball at Rhodes College, earning a degree in International Studies. During his sophomore year, Paul focused more time and energy on studio arts and ceramics, and he spent a semester abroad in Spain. There, he took advantage of a unique opportunity to see and study Spain's distinctive, historic ceramic tradition.
Upon graduating from Rhodes, Paul returned to Dallas, where he continued to design and make his signature ceramic products and his work generated local, and national attention. After a few years of focusing on vases and bowls, Paul began exploring lamp-making; while attending the Architectural Digest Home Show, Paul's lamps were widely admired, and captured the attention AD editor-in-chief Margaret Russell, and Paul's work was featured in an AD profile piece.
